Pastor Tony and Pastor Pam Shuff, Lead Pastors

Pastor Tony and Pam Shuff were born and raised in Illinois. Their paths crossed while Pastor Tony was attending Eastern Illinois University in 1972 as an art major. Pastor Tony accepted Christ while attending Christian meetings in and around the Charleston, IL campus. Pastor Pam had been born again the year before in the middle of what is now known as the Jesus Movement. By the fall of that year, both were attending and later completing their Biblical studies here in Springfield. The two became one in the spring of 1974. 

For over 45 years they have served the body of Christ as evangelists, pastors, and teachers in central Illinois and across the U.S. Foreign ministry has included teaching and establishing the saints in Poland and Russia. Their musical, artistic, and prophetic giftings remain a part of all they do.  

After serving as the director of The Salvation Army's Service Extension for Logan/Mason counties from 2011-2020, Pastor Tony and Pastor Pam accepted the call to serve as lead pastors at Living Water Church.

They enjoy family time with their two grown daughters, son-in-loves, and four grandchildren!

Pastor Rachel has been apart of Living Water Church since 2003. She joined Living Water Church because she had such an appreciation for the ministry of the pastors and felt lead to be apart of it. She has been a worship team member since her junior high days and was a worship leader at another ministry before joining Living Water Church.

Pastor Rachel desires to see each member fulfilling their assignment as part of the Living Water Church Family and she desires to see Living Water Church fulfill its assignment in the Springfield community and the Kingdom of God.

In addition to being a worship pastor and an anointed keyboardist, Pastor Rachel works as a teacher at-an at-risk pre-kindergarten program in Springfield. She has her bachelor of science in education from Illinois State University and a Master's of Science in Teaching and Learning from the University of St. Francis. 

 Dr. Robert and Rev. Pam Armstrong, fondly known as Dr. Bob and Pastor Pam, founded Living Water Church in 1997 with a vision to strengthen the local church while advancing the global church.  Dr. Bob is a graduate of School of Bible Theology, San Jacinto, California, USA and hold a Doctorate in New Testament Studies. Rev Pam Armstrong is a graduate of Global Ministries Bible Institute and Living Water Bible School. Together they form a strong Apostolic and Prophetic team, advancing the Gospel message of Christ globally. 

Pastors, strong teachers and prophetic, apostolic leaders with a great love for God and His people, have committed their lives to fervently worshiping and serving the King of Glory; likewise, they lead the people of the church to live lives that show commitment and honor to Christ. Dr. Bob and Pastor Pam's vision is to connect people with God's presence and power that they would walk in the fullness of God's transforming power. Pastors achieve this goal by teaching people to worship God in spirit and truth, equipping people to be demonstrative workers of God's kingdom, and expressing God's love to the masses. 

Dr. Bob and Pastor Pam came to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior in November of 1971 during what is commonly known as the "Jesus Movement". They were radicals in the world, but by God's radical love and grace, He transformed them into radicals for His kingdom. In January of 1972, Dr. Bob and Pastor Pam were married. They were blessed with one daughter, and are blessed with two grandsons.

Pastors were ordained in 1975 and served faithfully for 25 years as leaders in their local church, Bethel Assembly, later known as New Life Worship Church, in Springfield, Illinois, under their spiritual parents Pastors Delbert and Beverly Wells. For 20 years of the 25 years spent serving in multiple areas of ministry in the local church, Pastors also helping build up Springfield through their general contracting business Professional Builders, Inc. In 1996, Dr. Bob and Pastor Pam heard God calling them to plant Living Water Church.

Dr. Bob and Pastor Pam have traveled extensively ministering in The United States, Canada, Central and South America, Europe and Africa, preaching and teaching the Word of God and releasing the precious presence of the Holy Spirit to the nations (Matthew 28:19 -20).
